Whoever said fashion shows are reserved for New York, Paris and Milan has clearly never stepped foot on Atlantic Southeast Airlines property. I’ve been a flight attendant at Atlantic Southeast since 1999 and have experienced a lot in that time, but when I was asked to emcee a fashion show this spring, that was a first! My initial thought was, “well, that sounds fun,” and then I found out we would be performing in front of our entire management team at our airline’s spring leadership conference. I was a bit nervous to say the least!

Luckily, I had a great team of flight attendant models, including Duane Robinson, Paronta Mitchell, Michelle Jackson, Lindsay Donaldson, Mike Kane and Jennifer Tarcan, who shined like stars on the runway and made my role as emcee a piece of cake. The show was such a hit that we were asked to do it again for employees and their families at the unveiling of the new Atlantic Southeast Airlines brand at our Atlanta hangar in May…what an honor that was!

The greatest honor in all of this excitement was being among the seven flight attendants selected to show our coworkers the future of Atlantic Southeast Airlines’ Inflight Services. These new uniforms are a long time coming. Like I said, I’ve been here since 1999 and have a closet overflowing with uniform pieces, but none of them look as professional and sharp as this new collection. I personally cannot wait to show my passengers just how good customer service can look!

As for the uniform rollout, you can expect to see our flight attendants walking down the runways…I mean jetways…this fall in their new pieces. Next stop: Fashion Week in New York!
