Me (fourth from the left) with my fellow Inflight recruiters at our Atlanta hangar.
Do you dream of being a flight attendant? Well, now is your opportunity!
Atlantic Southeast is now hiring flight attendants for our Atlanta and Washington-Dulles crew bases.
Candidates should be excellent at multitasking, have outstanding people skills and be experts at working through all types of situations. Of course, you should also have a keen eye for safety!
If you think you have what it takes to join our team, go to the Careers section of our website and look for the Apply Online link. If selected for an interview, you will be invited to an open house where you’ll have a chance to get to know us, and we’ll have an opportunity to get to know you!
I’ve been a flight attendant at Atlantic Southeast for nearly nine years, and it is a great way to see new places, travel on your time off and meet new people. And not only do I love my job here, I love the company I work for!

a weird question for u guys : is ASA still hiring or is it too late
Hey I isabelle, havent heard if they have stopped or not so apply asap..,
Yes I was wondering what are the maximum height requirements to be a flight attendant for Atlantic Southeast Airlines?
They said there was no height regulation
Where does it say that. Im like 6’1 or so. So do they not have the maximum height restriction?
no as long as you can preform the duties safely im 6’2 and i go to training myself
Does that mean reaching the safety equipment and the overhead compartments? Do you bump your head a lot? How small is their aircraft?
I just got invited to training but ive flown the aircraft they use and im comfortable in it.
Are you a flight attendant? Let me know how much head room you have?
no im not a FA i just went to the interview and now going to training, about an inch or 2 from the ceiing
OK. Are you training for the flight attendant position? I hope you pass the training let me know how it goes. Thank you for the height maximum. I have always wanted to be a fa and I didn’t want my height to get in the way
Tks apply for it now
I’ll try. Do you think they will change their height maximum?
i dont think so
okay is there an email to email them for employment?
yes go on this website and you will see search for open jobs section and go there
I am suuuuuuuuper excited about ASA! I have done so much research on this company, and I have fell in love from just doing my research! I really hope I get a response soon in regards to an open house! I want to be a part of ASA, so I can say Im with the best!!! LOL…So im patiently waiting!
Best of luck Ebony!!!
Thanks a billion Greg!!
I was wondering also do you have to have a college degree to apply for the flight attendant position or have customer service experience
Haven you need to go to the job description for the flight attendant position on this website. It will tell you everything you need to know about the job. I do know they look for strong customer service. Just review the job description… best of luck!!!
There is a height requirement…5’9 inches includes heels. you cannot bump your head on the ceiling. Tall is worse than short. Been to training…going again.
Hi Diane: I checked with our Inflight team, and there is actually no height requirement/restriction for flight attendants. If anything changes, it will be posted within the job listing.
Hello Jarek, are you a FA with ASA?
Hi Greg: I’m part of Atlantic Southeast’s communications team.
Thats kool, sounds like a real nice company to work for.. going to training on oct 5th
when do your training start Diane
Does anyone know is there a maximum height requirement for this airline. I am wondering because I am short of 6’2. Please let me know or is there a way I can contact the employment office
Jarek how could I find out if there is a maximum height restriction or requirement for this airline?
Haven: We do not currently have a maximum height restriction or requirement.
Do you think this would change?
I’m not aware of any planned changes.
I recently applied for the flight attendants position. How often does ASA review the applications? I think I’m just really excited.
Okay do you know what is the cabin height because I am shy of 6’2 and I don’t want to just hit my head all the time. I have always to become a flight attendant.
I so very excited!!!! I got a invite for a open house. Does any one know how many people will be there and want to expect in the interview???
Best of luck Crystal just be yourself and enjoy it!!
There might be no manual reference to height, but you cannot be bending over and bumping your head.
I’m trying to figure out the cabin height because I am shy of 6’2 and they need to explain that in the requirements so people that go and apply and that are on a little on the tall side will need to know. Does anybody know the cabin height.
Diane- They have to be more clear about their height restrictions because they’re an airline and they’re not clear on their height and they should put it under their requirements
Haven: My apologies for not responding sooner. Atlantic Southeast does not have a minimum or maximum height for flight attendants. The cabins of our CRJ200 aircraft are approximately 6 ft 1 in, and the cabins of our CRJ700 and CRJ900 are slightly taller. We currently have flight attendants of all heights working at Atlantic Southeast.
Though there is no height requirement, how comfortable will you be in such cramped quarters? Will you start to suffer from neck pain? Will this get in the way of you performing at your best and remaining constant in Atlantic Southeast Airlines? Or will you bail in a matter of months? Just a few things to think about. My best wishes.
OK. It’s fine and do you know who is the tallest flight attendant you may have for Atlantic Southeast. Do you know how often they make the cabins bigger and will they make a height requirement in the next two to three years?
I’m not sure of the height of our tallest flight attendant. The cabin height does not change, and I know of no plans to implement a height restriction.
So I applied several years ago and was asked to an interview but could not attend. I tried to update my profile but it will not remove my old outdated resume, so now I have two posted…. If I had know I would have just created a new profile. I am afraid it made me look unprofessional and hurt my chances of begin invited again. Is there any tech support for the careers portal?
Harley: I will have someone from HR contact you via e-mail about your profile.
Thank you! Fixed over the weekend! Now hopefully I will be able to met the wonderful HR personnel face to face!
OK. Thanks for the help
For those of you who have gotten call backs from ASA, what is your work history like? I currently work at Blockbuster and have worked in the customer service field for about nine years. I am worried that because of the jobs I have had I will not get a call back because they may be less appealing than other candidates. Yet, my dream has and will always be a Flight Attendant? Am I being paranoid, or will my work history be diagnosed as a lack of passion for aviation?
P.S. It is great to see so many others with a passion for flying! No one else I know wants to be a flight attendant…and people always tell me it’s a weid profession choice lol.
Haven: Though there is no height requirement, how comfortable will you be in such cramped quarters? Will you start to suffer from neck pain? Will this get in the way of you performing at your best and remaining constant in Atlantic Southeast Airlines? Or will you bail in a matter of months? We want the best and we want them to stay and continue making ASA a great company. Just a few things to think about. My best wishes.
Hi David! Hope all is well with you. I am curious to know if ASA is still going through applications that have already been submitted before the flight attendant ad was taken off the website? I really want to be a part of this family/team and I hope they are still hiring. I have not received an email acknowledging that my application is on file, so I am really hoping I am still in the running!
Anybody?
David- I am shy of 6’2. I don’t think I will be cramped that much. I don’t suffer from neck pain and it probably won’t get in my way of doing the best. Does the recruiters look at each person who is applying at their height. I want to remain at any airline without my height getting in the way. Please let me know what you think
Does anybody know why you have to be 21 in order to start the interview process?
You have to be 21 because you will be dealing with liquor and thats the legal age with dealing with liquor, and it will be a part of your job with customers wanting to purchase in coach cabin as well as serving liquor in the first class cabin.
OK. That’s what I thought. Thanks very much
Still patiently waiting to get an opportunity to attend an open house/interview session. Are they still hiring?
