Our long-term partnership with Embraer is evident from our status as its 1996 launch customer—and the 200+ Embraer planes we have in service. The ExpressJet Airlines fleet is composed of Embraer ERJ-145, ERJ-145XR and Embraer ERJ-135 regional jets.

• 205 planes operate as Continental Express
• 30 planes operate for ExpressJet Airlines' Corporate Aviation division as corporate charters

Our average fleet age is approximately six years as of December 31, 2007.

Embraer ERJ-135

Seats 37; has a flight range of 1,330 nautical miles with a maximum speed of Mach .78 (that’s almost 600 miles per hour). The Embraer ERJ-135 was first built in 1997.

Embraer ERJ-145

Seats 50; has a maximum flight range of 1,550 nautical miles—that’s about from San Francisco to Chicago—and a maximum speed of Mach .78. The Embraer ERJ-145 was first built in 1989.

Embraer ERJ-145XR

Seats 50; has a maximum flight range of 2,000 nautical miles and a maximum speed of Mach .80. The Embraer ERJ-145XR was designed specifically for improved range, giving ExpressJet Airlines more destination options. Currently, ExpressJet is the only operator of the XR aircraft.
