Please note that because of new and evolving security measures, not all of the rules involving what you can take on the plane might be reflected here. But here are the basics:
Bags You Carry
Valet Carry-on Bag Service. Each ticketed customer can have one valet carry-on bag, plus a smaller item such as a laptop computer, briefcase, etc. Your carry-on can’t have more than a 51-inch outside linear dimension or weigh more than 40 pounds.
Valet Carry-on Bag Service allows you to drop your bag by the airplane entrance to be collected by an agent for storage, and returned to you at the airplane’s exit upon arrival. If small enough, your bag may be retained by you and stored under your seat or in the overhead compartment. Overhead compartments will accommodate bags up to 44 linear inches (18x16x10).
In addition to your bag and personal item, feel free to bring along:
- Collapsible wheelchairs that fit into approved cabin space
- Canes, walking sticks, braces, crutches or other such devices
- Small, collapsible strollers, diaper bags or government-approved child seats
Bags You Check
Each ticketed customer may check up to two bags free of charge. Each must weigh less than 50 pounds and have a maximum outside linear dimension of 62 inches. Some sporting equipment such as golf clubs may be checked in lieu of baggage.
Military customers may each check two duffle bags or similar pieces of luggage without additional charge.
We must charge Excess Baggage Charges for anything exceeding the above allowances. Even if you don’t mind paying extra, only two bags in addition to your free allowance can be accepted.
Baggage Limitation of Liability
Subject to certain terms and conditions, we’re responsible for up to $3,000 worth of luggage per ticketed customer. We’re also not responsible for things you carry onto the plane. Please remember, too, that we can’t be responsible for golf clubs not in a hard travel bag or other certain checked items.
We reserve the right to refuse acceptance of anything you try to pack or carry.
Matters of Security
Expect bags and other checked or carry-on items to be searched, screened and otherwise scrutinized in observance of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Department of Homeland Security standards of operation. Make sure you remember never to leave your bag unattended at the gate.
